Pistachio Di Bronte
In the Dagali district of Bronte, Sicily, we source our pistachios and their products from a small, traditional family business who manually gather them from verdant patches on the otherwise rocky, desert like terrain formed from lava. These green islands of vegetation are rich in minerals, nurturing the trees that produce this unique pistachio; coloured a vibrant green and with a sweeter, creamier and deeper flavour than the varieties found elsewhere. The family provide these dried and also turn them into a range of delicious savoury and sweet products, unrivalled in flavour, colour and quality.
Pistachio di Bronte contains important EFA, essential fatty acids (needed for the creation and maintenance of cell membranes) and monounsaturated fats that help prevent cholesterol (Omega-3 for example).
There is also a high content of antioxidants, which fight free radicals and a balanced presence of minerals: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, magnesium and manganese. Rich in vitamins, pistachio oil enhances immunity and works anti-inflammatory (vitamin A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6).
